Captain Freeman has been in the aviation industry for 50 years. Before returning to the UK in 2003 he was a pilot with SVA, at that time the largest airline in the Middle East, for 22 years as an L1011 Instructor Pilot, B747 Instructor Pilot and later as a G-IV Instructor Pilot. He assisted in the setup of and was the line operations manager in the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) department and held a senior position in the airline's new aircraft acquisition program from 1996-2000. He finished his line operations time as Deputy Chief Pilot of the B744 fleet.
Prior to working with SVA he was a B707 Instructor Pilot and B747 Captain with Singapore Airlines (SIA).
